Christmas? In July..?

Most of you will have probably looked at that title and thought that anyone thinking about Christmas in the middle of July must be completely insane. However, I would have to disagree with you on that one.

It's currently Summer time. There are sales on throughout Summer - Perfect for getting presents at a reduced rate! Often, items in the sales aren't even needed during Summer but would be great to give as a present to that hard-to-buy-for relative that you always leave until the last moment on Christmas Eve.

Even if you're not willing to start to buy things for Christmas and prefer to take the attitude that Christmas presents should only be bought in December, you could begin to save money and order catalogues. This will make things a little easier when the festive month finally arrives.

Looking for recipes which could be used at Christmas parties or collecting things that could be used as part of presents or to wrap presents up is also a good idea.

Even though it's early in the year still and there's plenty of time before Christmas, it'll be here before you know it and you know you'll have forgotten something - it happens every year. If you start thinking about Christmas now, the likelihood of forgetting anything huge will be significantly decreased.

Although it may seem a little too early, people are starting to think about Christmas. With the current economic climate, they're doing themselves a favor. Start now and don't be caught in the rush in December!
